OTB First Aid

When moving in the terrain, sometimes something unplanned happens: An ax slips, an ankle sprains or a slippery root surprises a mountain biker. Do you know how to act in the event of a burn? How do you stop profuse bleeding at a campfire? How do you splint a painful sprained ankle? Why should a hiker keep a survival blanket in a backpack?

OTB First Aid organizes first aid courses for cycling and other off-road accidents. The course covers different operating models in different situations, such as cracked helmets, broken bones and unconsciousness. At best, the procedure required to save a life may only be a small lift from the base of the jaw, but you should know how to do it when the need arises.

OTB First Aid’s firefighter-paramedic Jukka Vuorinen holds first aid courses at Nouxfest. The courses introduce concrete and practical ways of helping yourself or a friend. The course is a compact package where you practice operating models for various accidents and unexpected problem situations.
