Nuuksio Bikepark

Downhill belongs to everyone! Nuuksio Bikepark shows in practice how easy and fun downhill biking is.

Nuuksio Bikepark is Finland’s second most popular lift-operated biking center with 11 downhill routes. There are routes suitable for everyone from babies to adults: so far the age range of riders is 3-86 years! The classification of the routes is the same as the skiing slopes in winter, from easy green to difficult black. The longest route is the 1150 meter long Green Mile, which can even be ridden on a scooter.

There are no special requirements for lift cycling other than basic cycling skills. You can rent bikes from Bikepark’s rental office or bring your own mountain bike. The bike’s requirements are working brakes and power transmission. Suspension is not necessary, but front suspension helps on downhills.

Safety equipment can be found at the rental station. For a easier riding, all you need is your own helmet. A good shoe for downhill cycling is thick-soled and smooth. A heavily patterned hiking boot is not the best option.

Nuuksio Bikepark lowers the entry barrier for trying downhill biking to Nouxfest. A two-hour lift ticket is included in the event pass, and there will also be introductory courses guided by experienced instructors.

Nuuksio Bikepark organizes downhill cycling also for people with physical and sensory disabilities. If you belong to a special group and want to try cycling in terrain or downhill, there is an opportunity to do so during Nouxfest!

There will be some faster riding in the Bikepark too, when the participants of the Nuuksio DH Open and the Nuuksio MTB Rally show their skills and speed during Nouxfest.
