Gravel biking

The popularity of gravel biking has grown rapidly, and for a good reason. You could almost think that the multi-purpose gravel bikes were invented specifically for Finland’s extensive network of gravel roads and urban gravel outdoor trails.

A more relaxed riding position than a road bike and wider tires enable light riding even on rough surfaces, but gravel bikes are also suitable for fast riding on paved roads. Some bike models have attachment points for racks for longer bike trips.

At Nouxfest, you can get to know the basics of gravel biking and the equipment and routes specific to the sport, both from the point of view of fitness and bikepacking. The program will include, e.g.

Guided gravel bike tours on dirt roads and gravel trails; own or rented bike. Different distances, duration about 2 hours. The number of rides offered and the distance of the rides will be modified according to the interest of the participants.
