Rogaining

Rogaining is an orienteering sport involving long-distance cross-country navigation, incorporating both route planning and navigation between checkpoints. Each checkpoint has a certain score value, and participants choose which checkpoints to visit within a time limit with the intent of maximizing their total score. The navigation section is preceded by a planning period, during which the participants plan a route that suits them.
In competitions, rogaining is generally a team sport for teams of two to five people. We recommend trying it with a friend at Nouxfest as well. The following opportunities are coming:
A guided rogaining trial that includes an introduction to the sport, a route planning session and a one-hour time limit for navigating through the checkpoints. The checkpoints are placed so that both beginners and experienced participants will find a suitable course for their level. Total duration 1.5-2 hours.
